All window washing anchors provided by ESG must be inspected and re-certified on an annual basis by a professional engineer registered in the jurisdiction where the system is located. System re-certification will include a letter stamped with the approval of the inspecting engineer stating that all applicable anchors can withstand the loads of fall arrest, as well as loads caused by suspended equipment.
Any necessary equipment maintenance must be done under the supervision of a qualified person. An example of a standard maintenance issue is the application of cold-spray galvanizing to the exterior zinc coating of a galvanized steel anchor. In order to prolong product lifetime, as well as avoid product degradation, ESG strongly recommends consistent cleaning of all system components with water and mild detergent (never clean equipment with harsh or corrosive substances).
