Is there an expiration date on fall protection equipment?

While there is no known expiration date on fall protection equipment, we suggest that you refer back to manufacturer’s instructions and ensure that you always inspect your own personal equipment before each use. If I have a shock absorber on my harness and my lanyard is not quite long enough for a new application, can I just add another lanyard to make it reach?

Can I write my name on my fall protection equipment?

You should never write on any fall protection webbing as this will deteriorate the webbing.
